You can change the extension from .rar to .dmg. When you attempt to do so, a dialogue will pop up; just click “use .dmg”. It should be able to open up.

okay the code is legit. before you type in the code to install your game go in to your “finder” and do this EXACTLY step by step:

“go to the application> go to the FOLDER of sims 3> once you are in the folder underneath where it says contents you’ll see another sims 3 with the GREEN ICON (remember its inside the sims 3 folder)… right click on it and then you will see “show package contents” (this is where ppl got confused because nobody was saying which sims 3 specifically because there are like two of them with the green icons in the mac)>click show package content> content> resources> transgaming> c-drive> program files> electronic
arts> the sims 3> game> Bin> Then open Default.ini with text edit. When you are in Default.ini. Scroll all the way down to the bottom where it says

“GameVersion =1.8.25.003001” change the end “1” to “2” (or whatever regional number works for you)

for e.g: GameVersion = 1.8.25.003002 or 1.8.25.003003 or 1.8.25.003004 and etc. (you get the idea lol) save it and then close”

Now type in the code the Admin gave you (its correct) then just continue with the installation process and you’re good to go. I just finished installing mines.

click on sims3wa.rar once so you can type in it… delete the letters R A R and type in D M G (no spaces) then click out so it will automatically save. then it’ll ask you if u wanna change it in to a dmg you click yes or okay then double click the entire thing give it a few seconds and the installation guide will pop right up

In Sims 3, I have been given a task of sending a sim to a neighbors town, and making a movie. I don’t see ANY PLACE where I can get a video camera. Doing an online search, it seems there is software i can use to do this, but it is only for PC. I am on a Mac OSX 10.6.7. The software listed as the solution for he PC issue is Fraps. I searched for a version for Max, but nothing was found. Can someone explain to me how I can video in a neighbors town in Sims?
