so i’m new here and i have a mac, i downloaded ambitions for mac and got a windows version instead, i’m not sure why, but is the mac link broken? also are there instructions on how to install the expansion packs? I do not have a physical copy of the disc because i bought it on origin.

Hi, Does this still work I know I’m like 4 years late but after it’s downloaded in utorrent and seeded what do I do to get my original Sims 3 to recognize it as an expansion??

In reply to Victoria. hi, I've replaced the ts3.exe file in the folder as the video instructed, then i dragged the ts3ep02.exe file into the same folder, it didnt need to be replaced, but the game is not working.

I’ve downloaded the torrent and can successfully install ambitions, but when i go to look for it (to use the vitality folder so it will work) it’s no where in sight. and then i try to start the sims 3 and it says error occured. where is it going?! it says its gone in my applications but it’s not there. help!!!!

I had the same problem.

When you open the installation program, there is also a folder called Vitality. Open that folder, you will see two other folders: The Sims 3 and Ambitions.

In those folders are the files you have to replace in the “original” folder of the game.

To get there, follow this tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZhM52cq4um4

When he asks you to replace the TS3 files you just pick the ones in the Vitality folder and drag them to the game’s folder you just opened.

You have to do this twice. In the The Sims 3 Ambitions folder and in the The Sims 3 folder. You have to change two files. They are one above the other, it’s really easy once you get there.

Ive downloaded everything fine, and when i click on the button to start the game it tells me to insert the disk. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?
