Rage is developed by id Software a first person shooter game. Use the new OpenGL-based company id Tech 5 engine. The Rage game was first shown as a technical demo on June 11, 2007 at Apple’s Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), and was officially released on August 2, 2007 at QuakeCon. The same day, a trailer for the game was released by GameTrailers.
The game Rage is set in a post-apocalyptic near future, after the impact of the asteroid 99942 Apophis on Earth. The game has been described as similar to the movie Mad Max 2, and video games such as Fallout and Borderlands. Factors influencing driving and racing game include games like MotorStorm and Burnout. Players can upgrade their cars with certificates earned from races.
